Spring!

Spring was definitely here after we got back from our vacation. The end of March brought Kelsey's bridal shower in Red Wing. Only 2 more weeks til the wedding!

We've had some very summer-like days already! Even got to break out the shorts! Ben took the opportunity to introduce the boys to kite-flying one afternoon.

The Easter Bunny came...

and hid eggs and left Spiderman Easter baskets!

It was a beautiful day for a BIG outdoor Easter egg hunt at Papa and JuJu's house!

Aren't ALL my boys sooooooooooooooo CUTE??? I'm such a lucky girl!!

The most recent addition to our fleet of wheeled non-motorized vehicles - a "balance bike" or "push bike." No pedals...just run with your legs...which is PERFECT for Miles. He rode it for a whole hour last night and still cried when it was time to come in!

Fingers crossed for more warm spring days!!!!

Fun in the Sun!

In March, we took our annual vacation to Florida where it was sunny and (kind of) warm! Only this year, something was missing...BEN! Unfortunately, the school district opted NOT to have a Spring Break Week this year, and since "vacation days" don't really exist for teachers (I guess they think having the whole summer off is enough) Ben had to stay home!

Luckily, we had Grandma, Granpa, and this crew (see below) to help out...not that Alex and Katie had a TON of extra time to deal with my boys...

but Jonas did manage to find lots of time to hang out with Uncle Alex!

Miles loved the beach, and still starts chanting "to the beach, to the beach, to the beach, beach, BEACH!" and swinging his arms like he's marching every time we look at pictures! Thanks for that memory, Grandma!! :)

Miles and I spent LOTS of "quality time" together!

Abbie and Jonas really are best buds and have lots of fun together!

Ice cream nights are always fun! It was pretty funny to watch people veer WAY around this group's sticky fingers and chocolate-y mouths! And Katie got a lot of funny looks, too...just how many kids DO you have???????????

By the time they are 10, I wonder how many buckets of water Abbie and Jonas will have hauled up the beach?

No More Training Wheels!

Jonas has been asking us to take his training wheels off this spring, but we've been hesitant to do so, since he doesn't even turn 4 until June. We gave in yesterday and agreed to let him try. Well, today he already seems to be getting it! Luckily, the boys seem to have Ben's coordination genes!
